“10 Harsh Realities that Help You Grow”

“10 Harsh Realities that Help You Grow”

When I was a student, one of my dreams was to live abroad someday. So on my summer vacation I went to Canada to study English for the first time by myself, applied for a study abroad program that I could study my major in the USA for 1 year for free (Unfortunately I failed at the final interview😭) I also tried various other things. For example, When I come back to Japan, I would go to the pub and make friends with native English speakers, I studied English at English conversation school for at least 5 years as well. After many years I graduated from school. I felt confident enough in my ability to speak English so I moved to Australia and started to enjoy life here. However, when I first came here, my English was very poor, so I was pretty sure that a native English speaker couldn’t understand if I was talking in English or Japanese. I really think that I was at that level😂

At first, I came to Australia on a working holiday visa and after a year I was planning to go back to Japan, but somehow after 8 years I’m still here in Australia💦. At the beginning all I did was sightseeing. After that, I had no idea what I was going to do. So I went to a school where I could get a qualification to teach English to children in Japan. Even after the working holiday was over, I was fascinated by Australia and wanted to stay here, so I went to a language school and also took a personal trainer qualification course. To live in a foreign country you need a visa, Australia offers a student visa program, which I used. I was enjoying my studies however I was in a foreign country alone, working part time and studying everyday, it was so repetitive. Sometimes I thought to my self, why was I living this repetitive life, it made no sense. However I would come to the understanding that I was the one who wanted it and decided to do it. I was the one responsible for the results of my choices. Once I understood the importance of self accountability I made sure the decisions I made would lead to being blessed with the life I have now, work and friends, meeting a great partner, enjoying my passion of beach volleyball along with many other good things that you’ll learn about as you read in the future. You never really know what will happen to your life. It’s life, including all the good and bad things. The main thing to remember is that you are responsible for your life’s happiness or unhappiness, your choices have real consequences.

So, today, I want to introduce you
